Our Story

How We Got Into Building Decks

We build and repair decks for homeowners around Henderson and the Las Vegas valley. Most of us came up doing framing and general carpentry before narrowing down to decks specifically, because it's a different animal than framing a house. A deck sits outside in full sun and monsoon rain, and it has to hold people, furniture and hot tubs without complaint.

If you're on this page, chances are your deck boards are cupping, the rail post is wiggling, or the whole thing just looks tired next to a house that doesn't. We rebuild from the ledger board out, checking flashing and joist spacing before we touch a single board on top, because that's the part that actually decides whether a deck lasts twenty years or five.

Why Choose Us

What you get when you hire us

None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.

Licensed & Insured

Licensed and insured coverage protects you if something goes wrong on site. Ask us for certificates before we start, we hand them over without hesitation.

Permits Handled

Henderson requires a permit for most raised decks and anything attached to the house. We handle the paperwork and schedule the inspections so you don't have to chase the city.

Clean Job Sites

Deck demo and framing throw off a lot of scrap lumber and screws. We bag it, haul it and run a magnetic sweep for stray fasteners before the last day.

Written Quotes

Every quote lists the decking material, fastener type and square footage, not just a total number. That way you know what you're paying for before we cut the first board.

Own Crew

We don't hand your project off to a rotating crew of subcontractors. The people framing your deck are the same ones who walked the yard with you.

Local to Henderson

We're out here in the same heat and hard water as your backyard. That matters when we're picking fasteners, sealants and stain that'll actually hold up through a Henderson summer.

Common Questions

Things people ask us

Questions about who we are and how we work.

How long have you been building decks?
Years in business alone doesn't guarantee good deck work, licensing, insurance and a look at recent completed projects matter more when choosing a deck contractor. Asking to see a few finished decks in the area gives a better sense of quality than a number alone.
Do you use your own crew or subcontractors?
Some deck companies use an in-house crew for every stage of construction, while others subcontract framing, electrical for lighting, or masonry work. Asking directly who will physically be on site each day is a fair question to ask before signing a contract.
Can I see examples of past deck projects?
Photos of completed deck projects, ideally similar in style or material to what's being planned, should be available from any established deck contractor. Seeing a similar project in person, if a past customer is willing, gives the clearest sense of finish quality.
Why choose a smaller deck contractor over a large company?
Smaller deck contractors often have the same crew handling a project from measurement through final walk-through, rather than passing it between separate sales, framing, and finishing teams. That can mean fewer miscommunications about design details or material choices.
Where are you based?
A deck contractor working in Henderson, NV should be familiar with local soil conditions, HOA requirements, and the permit process specific to Clark County. Confirming a contractor's home base and typical service radius helps set expectations on response time.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Deck construction demand generally peaks in spring and early fall in the Las Vegas valley, when scheduling can stretch out several weeks. Booking a site visit as early as possible, even before a final design is settled, helps secure a spot on the schedule.
Do you clean up the job site when you're done?
A finished deck project should leave the yard free of cut-off lumber, packaging, and stray fasteners, with a magnetic sweep run over the work area to catch loose screws or nails. Confirming cleanup is part of the quoted price avoids any confusion at the final walk-through.
What happens if something gets damaged during construction?
A licensed and insured deck contractor carries liability coverage for accidental property damage during construction, such as a sprinkler line cut during footing excavation. Any damage should be documented and repaired as part of the project, not left for the homeowner to handle separately.
Will you finish a deck another contractor started?
Taking over a partially built deck is possible, but it usually starts with an inspection of the existing framing to check it meets code and was built to spec. Any work that doesn't hold up gets flagged before new construction continues on top of it.
How can I tell if deck work is being done correctly?
Proper deck construction includes footings poured below frost depth or per local code, joists spaced correctly for the decking material, and ledger boards flashed to prevent water intrusion. Asking to see these steps before decking boards go down, rather than after everything's covered up, is the best way to confirm quality.
